Gatherings
WV-PAD Network Gatherings bring together businesses, organizations, service providers, and regulators to assess current challenges and opportunities and to work collaboratively towards common goals.
June 13–14, 2023
During the 2023 Gathering, participants will work to define the highest purpose and goal of the WV-PAD Network and begin to cultivate a structure that will better serve community-driven food systems. The 2023 Gathering will be a two-day virtual event on June 13 from noon to 4:30pm and on June 14 from 9:30 to 1pm . The days will consist of a combination of speakers, full group discussions, and small group breakouts.
Who Should Attend
The Gathering is open to current WV-PAD Network participants and other interested stakeholders, including those working in community economic development, legislators, and funders.
Please consider attending if you are involved with the food system in any way such as:
operating a local food grocery store
aggregating and market local food products from multiple farmers
operating a consignment farmers market/retail store
providing processing services for farmers (ie. freezing, chopping, canning, etc.)
providing transportation/distribution/logistics for local farmers and buyers of local food
purchasing wholesale/purchase products from local farmers
or anyone interested in engaging with the local food ecosystem

If that means for a portion of the gathering, we completely understand. Whether you are available one or both days, we value your input and voice in the conversation in whatever capacity you have available.
